Hi,
I have an urgent inquiry regarding the Tier-1 extension application due in Aug-2012 for myself and my 2 dependents (wife & daughter). I am planning to apply for the extension next month.
My query is specific for maintenance funds required for extension. I and both my dependents are in UK since last 3 years and as per UKBA website I need to maintain £800 for myself & £533 for of my each dependents for 90 days before my application. I have sufficient balance maintained in my UK bank account for almost 87 days but for remaining 3 days of Fund Maintenance:
1. Can I show current account statement from Indian Bank Account which is in my name?
2. Is 3 months statement & letter from the bank is enough to prove the fund maintenance?
3. In worst scenario can I apply next month for myself only and apply for my dependents in August if required? Hope this should not cancel the tier1 dependent visa which is valid till August'12.
Thanks in advance and any urgent response to this will be appreciated.

i would have waited but the balance was low at different days in last 90 days so the only option left is to either wait for next 90 days or use india bank account as a backup can u confrm whether i can use indian bank account as proof for fund maintenance?

If the balance is low on different dates then how are you considering 87 days. You need to have funds above the threshold continously for 90+ days.
Yes, you can apply first and then make your dependents application later.
Their Tier 1 Dependant will be valid evn if you get the extension before their extension.

You can use the amount in savings in other countries / currencies (converted to GBP without any uplift ratio) but mention this clearly on a cover letter as the CW's might check only one statement in some cases and would deem the amount insufficient.
