work visas - new rules

Post by rayb » Tue Mar 13, 2012 2:46 pm

Can anyone advise on legal ways to come and work in UK, other than employer sponsored Tier 2 or Spouse visa? Thank you.

Link to ukba site doesn’t help at all. I studied it for the last two days and I didn’t find anything suitable. Tier 1 General is cancelled, Tier 2 needs to be sponsored. That is why I am asking new question here. May be there is someone who knows and can help?

No one can come up with a solution that is not there.

tier 5 is the only other viable option but it is limited, temporary and also requires sponsorship

They don't like immigrats now, they want everyone getting out of this country, if you have money, you can do investment immigration, because they need your money.

i see

do you think tier 1 will come back in 2-3 years?

i have money as it happens. I could loan my brother 50K I guess and he could sell his flat and come here as investor  but ukba is a bit vague on what happens to 50K in order to qualify and how it leads to the right to work and settle. I could help him set up limited company and work as contractor and put a couple of locals on "salary" that is shown on paper...

geee, tier 2 is not as bad as I originally thought!
