FLR (M) appointment

Post by Oxford » Tue Mar 13, 2012 3:49 pm

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for everyone on this forum, its great help. I have got appointment on 28th of this month in Croydon. I have got few questions and would like all the senior members to shed some light on these questions.

1. We are living with my parents, so we are getting third party accommodation support. We have got letter from our parents that they own the house and we can stay rent free until we buy our own house this year. I am just wondering if its compulsory to have housing inspection report or just letter from parent is enough????

2. We have our baby boy born last month. Is it compulsory to attend the appointment for both of us or just applicant can attend the appointment??

Thank You

Regard's

Hi Oxford

1) As long the accommodation has sufficient space (i.e. it not overcrowded) and your parents provide their property deeds together with a no objection letter (i.e. they are happy for you people to stay with them). You should be fine.

2) There is no requirement for the sponsor to be with the applicant, so you can go alone with all the required documents.

If you go alone, you will need a letter from your spouse explaining why they can't be with you.

Hi kamran,

I had my appointment at Croydon and I can confirm that it was not a service I would have paid £850 for...

Got there first thing in the morning, was first one with my spouse. Paid the fee by card, got biometrics done then was waiting to be called to drop my documents , for 2 hours!!! Then I went to ask at the desk what was going on and apparently they lost or dropped my queue number and they will try and assign me a case worker as soon as someone was free. Luckily the lady was helpful so she called me up in a min and took my documents n said it can take upto 2hours so we left the building n came back hour n half later n sat there for umber to be called up. Looked around and could not recognise anyone waitin in that room!! Everyone I started with we're all gone.

Went to the desk and asked them and they said it was ready, collected it, made sure they had all the documents in there and then read the letter and left.

I found that communications was absolutely poor for the price you pay for... Can get a sweet holiday for that price for more than a day
