Delay in posting the application for a week

I have filled up my application form and cheques on 9th march and due to some delay I could not post them off and will be doing this on this week end.

Will that be ok to have the application and cheque filled a week before the posting?

It may be a chilly question to ask, however, just make myself comfort.

Don't think it matters.

As long as the dates on all your documents are still okay, e.g. if bank statement needs to be from past 30 days (don't know if this is still a requirement) it hasn't become too old by waiting a week.
