SAR information

Post by s_raj11 » Thu Mar 15, 2012 2:56 pm

Hi All,

Need help on SAR.

I have applied for SAR in November and till date havent received any information about the status. I am due to apply for ILR on 10yrs basis.

Please can anyone suggest me how to approach the SAR team or if any one has any contact number of the department.

Thanks in advance.

They will send it by 2nd class post.
Wait until 40 days are over.

I received my post 2 weeks since the SAR letter was dated.

an update. I have received my SAR file today. pretty disappointed as it contains nothing.

it has all my previous applications COPIES since when I came into this country and thats all so in my case I have received the following off them:

1 . First visa
2. SEGS
3. HSMP
4. TIER1
5. payment information for all of them from their payment processing dept Siemens.

Hi,

I have the same proplem and I have been waiting since 10/02/2012. A chasing-up letter has been constructed and going to fax it tomorrow. I am moving at the end of the month and don't think they would have contacted me by then. In my letter, I give them my updated address. I am a bit worried if they are going to ask me to prove of new address as this will take another month at least to have my bill/bank statement. Could I have an idea how many days did you wait innocentdevil? If the 40 day deadline starts from the receipt of my application or the date they wrote the letter?

did you attach a cheque for a tenner with your application. if you sent it recorded then check whether it has arrived. if its past 40 days ring them

Post by ITGraduate » Thu Mar 29, 2012 11:38 am

Dear People,

IS SAR mandatory for ILR application? If not whats the purpose of this letter?

I want to make sure I get it if it adds value to my ILR application

Thanks,

SAR isn't mandatory. it is check which tells you what UKBA holds about you.

if you didn't send it recorded then you don't know if they have your info.

repost record and reapply i would advise

Thanks for your post!!

Actually I haven't sent anything asking for SAR. Sorry for the mis understanding.

I am curious to find out If I need it? ( I know you said its not mandatory but wondering if it add value to my application ) .

I've 250 days of travel in last 4 yrs and 9 months ( 150 days are business related absenses - longest stretch 21 days )

Thanks

SAR Infomation

Post by askyara » Tue Apr 10, 2012 2:27 pm

Hello

Could anybody advice me on the matter please.

I am currently waiting for my SAR. It is already passed 40days a week ago. I have booked for my ILR interview at PEO Sheffield, next two days (thursday). They have taken £10 from my acct. And have received acknowledgement later 2 months ago.

I have to apply for my ILR as my current visas will expire in June 2012.

My question is, is it worth waiting for the SAR and re-book the interview?

My case is, i have gaps in my 10 years stay :

between 31march 2006 - 3 may 2006 (granted visas)

30 sept 2006 - 17 oct 2006 (granted visas)

31 jan 2008 - 23 june 2008 (granted visas, the long wait due to circumstances happens between HO annd Work and Pension dept)

I am just anxious, if i waited for the SAR, but still do not provide any informative information, as what i have read happens to certaain people in this group :(

please, if anyone can be me advice on this matter, very much appreciable. Many thanks!!!
