Applying ILR from abroad

Post by TP2012 » Fri Mar 16, 2012 12:05 pm

Has anyone applied for ILR for their newborn in India and what is the processing time?

Can the child be bought to UK on visitor visa and then apply for ILR ?

you need to give more information. ILR can only be applied for from within the UK, if a person qualifies for settled from outside the UK, then they applied for ILE (indefinite leave to enter).

what is the immigration status of the child's parents?

I and my husband are on ILR. I came to India to have my baby. I dont have enough time to apply for his ILR. Is there another route?

Best to apply for a child settlement visa.

If the child is already in the UK with temporary permission to stay, they can apply to settle here permanently using the SET(F) application form??

What does temporary leave mean?
