A PSW holder can switch to TIER2 at any time. But,karim_9876 wrote:I suggest dedicating this topic to all issues related to PSW-Tier2 switching.

New Question:
The old Tier2 policy guidance (until 05-Apr-2012) states that a PSW holder can switch to Tier2 General after working for the same employer for 6 months.
The new policy guidance (from 06-Apr-2012) does NOT have this condition mentioned.
Does this mean that someone can switch to Tier2 without needing to wait for 6 months?
These kind of discrepencies become really confusing.
Old Tier2-general Policy Guidance (until 05-Apr-2012)madona587 wrote: A PSW holder can switch to TIER2 at any time. But,
IF the PSW holder works for the employer for the last 6 months he is exempted from Resident labour market test (RLMT)
If the PSW holder works for the employer for less than 6 months he is subject to RLMT (His employer of course)
Provide sources please? Maybe screenshots of the section in both guidance?
yes from 6th April those on psw will not need to work for the employer for 6 months to be exempt from the rlmt. This change is being made as tier 4 migrants switching to tier 2 will not have to work for the employer for 6 months either.karim_9876 wrote:So one can see that the new policy guidance does NOT make any reference to working for 6 months.
Any ideas?
Does this mean that -according to the new policy guidance- one can switch as soon as he/she is assigned a CoS?
