ILR - TOC

Post by WorldTarveller » Sat Mar 17, 2012 12:03 am

Just thought I'd share my experience with the boards. I applied for a transfer of conditions (TOC) because I was sick of carrying around 4 passports around with me whenever I travelled. I have had ILR for I don't know how long, indeed I am more than entitled to take up Citizenship but I have strong ties to my country of birth and they don't allow dual nationality, so whatever.

Anyway, from the date I sent the application in it took a solid 16 weeks just to get the TOC done. This was around this time last year so I'm not sure if wait times have improved much. I certainly won't be doing that again anytime soon! My advice to anyone wanting to do a TOC - just carry around the extra passports! Or if you are rich then go for the same day appointments, just make sure you take everything with you!
