Query about Uni letter for psw

Hi everyone I've recently finished masters from a reputed uni and currently I'm in India ,want to make my psw application I have everything ready but I was not awarded original certificates because the date of graduation is not confirmed so they sent me a psw letter following is the format
Date
To whom it concern
Student name
Student I'd no.
Title of qualification
Course start date:11/01/2010
End date:16/12/2011
Date of award: 23/02/2012
Awarding body xx uni
Sponsor lic no
Certificate: awarded at graduation ceremony
This is to inform that the above named student enrolled for a full time course at xx uni
The course started on 11/01/2010 and teaching on this course has now been completed and the student has submitted all the required work for this course.the student has passed all modules and has been awarded a master of science in xxx with classsificationof commendation
The graduation ceremony date is to be confirmed
If this letter is submitted without certificate it is confirming that student will be granted their certificate on the date given above .xx uni is the awarding body

Now I just want to you guys please kindly go through this psw letter and let me know if this ok as I have no transcripts this is the only proof I'm submitting and I'm a bit tensed as I will be apply on 26 on this month and I don't want to take any risk

Dear harika,

Kindly note that if University have given you a letter for PSW which shows the date of award then that should not be any problem for applying for a visa from INDIA. Because as per the requirement you need to show the Letter from University or The original Degree.

Hi Hchintala

Just as you, I too will be submitting my application for tier 1 psw outside uk ( from india)

hence the following is my question:
Appendix 4 self assessment form , question 2.4

2.4 Confirm that you have included the required original evidence detailing the qualification for which you are claiming points.
This is limited to only one qualification. Put a cross (x) in the box
Original certificate of award >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

i do not have the original certificate of award.. am i allowed to show a PSW letter here.. and if so, then do i still cross the box ?

Hint of caution: for Application forms within UK contain an option where in the applicant is able to check a seperate box detailing a psw letter has been enclosed... while is not an option on outside uk form !

Just leave that section empty I have read a lot about it and yeah it's fine to leave that box unticked
