Hi,
I'm going for my tier1 extension on 27th March.I have the following query.
I'm claiming earnings from 19-April-2011 to 31-March-2012 which is £31917.26 and get 30 points based on the rule before 06-April-2010.
Though £29000 is enough to get 30 points, up to 29- Feb-2012 total earnings was £29400.
Please let me know whether to mention points claimed from
19-April-2011 to 31-March-2012= £31917.26( 30 points)
or
19-April-2011 to 29-Feb-2012=£29400(same 30 points) by ignoring March payslip.
Thanks
Sali

As I already qualified for 30 points up to February,I thought of ignoring march earnings.

if anything goes wrong with earnings in any single month & CW doesnt consider those earnings then you may not qualify
better show as much as you can

I'll be getting my March payslip on 23rd March and also salary credit will happen on the same day.So I don't have any issue to show earnings up to March if that would be the good idea.
I'll wait for the suggestion in the forum and then will decide.
Thanks.

Do I need to mention the exact earnings or just rounding of the decimal is OK?

exact down to the last penny on the covering letter mate, the PBS print out does not take decimal so ignore it there

One more question,if there was any error for example crediting half of the salary and then remaining half on the same day however 2 entries in the bank statement shows next to each,is that enough to get a letter from employer explaining the reason for the error and the total pay paid for that particular period?

Hi,
I'm claiming points for earnings from April 2011 to March 2012,but there was no salary paid for one of the month within those period.Do I still satisfy the criteria "12 consecutive months"?
Thanks,
Sali

Hi,
I am in the similar situation as Sali and going for extension on 28th Mar.
I need to show march salary to qualify for extension. I receive my march payslip on 23rd of march. As my application date will be 28th march and since I am including march salary, do I need to mention my earnings period end date as 28-mar-2012 or 31-mar-2012.
Request any help.
Thanks
Kumar

I am also in the same situation, can anyone please advise if it is ok to claim earnings up until 31st Mar 2012, while the date of application is 27th March?
to be clear, I will get my march pay slip and salary credited on 23rd of March and planning to include march salary.

You may want to rethink the strategy here. You can claim for the points earned in "PAST" and not in "FUTURE". God forbid, but what if you can not go to work for the last 2 days and you are not to be paid for it.. Than your application "may" fall under deception etc.
If you can claim the points upto February and qualify, I suggest you do not include the March Salary as it is upto 31/3/2012 and you are appearing on 27th March.
Ta,
An [Expensive] Immigrant journey has ended 19/08/2015. Good luck to you all out there...

Again, you can claim full months earnings. if the money is in your account then you have earned it. doesnt matter when you are paid & when u applied as long as you are not claiming for a day over 12 months
cant really let go earnings for the whole month for sake of 2 days can we ?
I had a contract with a customer till December 2011 & payment was done way before contract finished & I applied in first week of December 2011 with full December earnings, no issues.
Mention it in the covering letter for your peace of mind (i didnt)

Thanks for advice. Yes in my case, money will be in account on the day I get payslip and I am claiming less than 12 months earnings(10 months).
So will mention earnings end date as 28-mar-2012 in application and will mention it as march salary in covering letter. Hopefully that will be fine.

When I have called Home office enquiry number, they have said that I can claim march salary if it is credited on 23rd. The confusion is only on what should be the end date of earnings in the application and covering letter?
