About Duplicate Bank statements

Hello everyone,

I am applying for a new Tier 4 Adult student visa and have to show 1600 pounds in my bank statement for 28 days.

I am showing bank statements from Jan 7th to 12th feb and another statement from 13th Feb to 11t March

The statements were ordered via the telephone and the first statement ( from 7th jan to 12th feb ) says duplicate just above my name, but under the between dates.

However, the other statement from 13th Feb to 11th march, there is nothing written above my name, but under the between dates. which i assume is the original.

there is no difference between the two statements regarding the details,
both show my full name, account number, address, opening and closing balance, transactions from so and so date and has the HSBC name and the coloured logo also.

I am just wondering weather UKBA will accept the first statement that says duplicate. The bank said they will not stamp or sign the duplicate and they keep saying that it will be accepted by UKBA, but i dont feel so assured.

Could you please tell me if the duplicate statement is valid??

nothing wrong in using a statement which says "duplicate" on it as long as it conforms to the guidelines set by UKBA.
