Make fresh file from home country or apply extention in uk

hi friend i need some information regarding my friend visa extension
His visa is going to expire in may 2012 and he did not pass his course he was studying in level 5 his college is ready to issue a cas letter but the college is giving a letter of 10 months he do not want the visa of 1 year only
my question is that
If he goes back to pakistan can he make the fresh file from there and what is the chances to get the visa of 3 years ... will the ukba demand to him show the previous academic progression
Actually he want to change his college as well if he apply extention the visa will be refuse because his friend changed his college and his visa has gone refused the reason is that he did not pass his cousre how can he apply the new course
what should my friend do..what is the best option for him please help us

UKBA will definitely check academic progression either you apply in-country or from your home country. It is also difficult to prove that you are making academic progress either you stay with your current college or change the college as you did not pass the course.

If your current college is agree to issue you CAS, ask them how they will satisfy the academic progression requirement. Otherwise, college will charge you course/CAS fee and issue you CAS anyway and when your visa will be refused they will not give you any refund.

I have a one more question he was studying in level 5 and he has a 2 year bachelor degree from pakistan can he me make fresh file on the base of bachelor degree in level 6

The main requirement is academic progression rule.

I don't think a direct admission at level 6 on the basis of previous home country qualification will show academic progression. UKBA may ask that what he was doing in UK during his previous stay?
