Tier-1 (G) Extension- ILR Query-Outside UK more than 180 Day

Post by salman1 » Sat Mar 17, 2012 11:06 pm

Hello,

I've to be out of UK due to personal reasons and forecasted total will be more than 180 DAYS. (Note : No stay outside UK is/will be more than 3months in a stretch)

First visa stamped on 6th-Sep-10
Uk Entry on 20th Nov-10
Next Extension due in Sept-12

Out of UK till today= 82 days TILL NOW
Forecasted out of UK time after 5 years till Sep-15 (with 1 normal extension)= 360 days (180 days more)

So what will happen in this case, should my cycle will just reset after 180 days passed out of UK or still I need 2nd Extension in Sept-15 to fulfill this GAP... Thanks

To make it simple, if anyone is out of UK for more than 180 days in 5 years time then what happens, if his previous period is reset or he just applies for his extensions..????

In simplest terms, you would require another extension.

When applying for ILR, you can claim a period of 5 yrs in which you have leaves totalling less than 180 and no 90 day continuous leave period.
