Visa Expired in Nov 2011, Appeal Approved in Feb 2012

One of my student friend has one very serious issue.

Visa expiry date was 31 Oct 2011, He filled his application on 28 Oct 2011, The college in which, he took admission was black listed during his file and he got refusal on Dec 2011.

He go for appeal and he won his appeal on 20, Feb 2012. On the bases that he need to take admission in new college within 60 days from date of decision.

Along with above content he also pursue parallel study from Coventry university. He got his MBA now.

My Questions are,

1) Is he able to apply for PSW Now, as he got MBA certificate?
2) Or He can only take admission into new college.?

if his visa was refused on what sort of visa he was continuing his study?

Hi golekipro

He appeal against the decision. I think while appeal process he can do what ever he is doing (Please correct me if I am wrong). He already took admission into university(parallel study) before his previous leave expired(i.e. 31 Oct 2011), So he continue his study.
