Visa expiring in May, can I travel for 10 days ?

Post by khurramrafiq » Wed Mar 21, 2012 8:46 am

Guys

My father died last month, now brother who didn't go back to meet mother, now he finished his studies and passed, and will be applying for PSW before 1st April.

His visa is expiring on 31-May-2012, if he travell tomorrow and come back before 3 -April, will the UK border agency have any issue with this? or can they deny his entry by saying that you got only 2 months left on your visa, so why you are coming back? something like that?

Thanks

Yes, as he has completed his education, UKBA may raise issues and may refuse him to re-enter UK.

If travel is urgent, he can take all documents and apply for PSW from the home coutry as well.

It is risky for re-entry not for PSW. PSW application can be made from home country before April. If current visa purpose is finished UKBA can stop visa holder at airport. Its happened with many students.
