Fiance visa expiring - help!

Post by stickman » Thu Mar 22, 2012 8:38 pm

Hi - we have recently submitted our application for a spouse visa having recently married in the UK

I currently have a fiance visa which is due to expire on April 12th - if we are still awaiting the decision by this time, will I need to leave the country as my Fiance visa would have expired??

Many Thanks

assuming you have married since coming to the UK and applied for further leave as a spouse on form FLR(M) (i.e. not for a 'spouse visa' as a visa an only be applied for from outside the UK), then you will be fine as your leave will be treated as continuning whilst the application is under consideration by virtue of section 3C of the Immigration Act 1971
