MN1 application Urgent

Post by dikey2809 » Fri Mar 23, 2012 7:02 am

Hi,
Thanks for the support from this board.
I was able to get my ILR in premium service. But in the new system we get our BRP by post in next 7 to 10 working days,
I have already made appointment for my daughter's MN1 application with NCS for Monday.
Just wanted to know that in the MN1 form will they consider the letter for ILR approval or do they need my BRP as well.
AS in this situation my appointment will need to be changed with the NCS.

Please guide uegently.

I was able to get my BRP prior to the appointment with NCS. So everything went on fine at the NCS.
Thanks and All the Best

MN1 Process time lines

Post by dikey2809 » Mon May 07, 2012 9:12 pm

Can any one guide with regards to the processing times for MN1 application.
I applied for my daughter's MN1 on 26/03/2012, from NCS reading.
I got Acknowledgement on 05/04/2012, fees were deducted on 03/04/2012.
I am waiting for the respond.
I am trying to contact Nationality contact number, they say as it is not 6 months they cannot respond.
So what is the best possible way to get update on application.
Does it take long now.

If you follow the MN1 Timelines thread, you will see decisions take 2-3 months. You should be getting the decision soon.

hi,
I need guidance with filling in the British Passport application for my daughter.
Her registration certificate is received.
I was going through the form, following are the queries:
1. It says about status of parents, does it mean that one of the parent need to have british nationationality.
2. What documents need to go along with the application. Should it be original or photocopy.
3. about section 9 and 10. My daughter is 2 years old. Should i sign the section 9 and who will countersign for my daughter.

Please advice.

If you were born or Your UK National identity card, or your full birth or adoption
adopted in the UK certificate and either of the following
after 1 July 2006 - Evidence of your mother’s or father's claim to British
nationality (by giving their British passport number at
section 4 of the application form or by providing their birth
certificate, or their Home Office certificate of registration or
naturalisation, with the application)
- Evidence of one of parents' immigration status at the time of
your birth (either your mother's or your father's passport).
Note: you do not need to send your father’s marriage
certificate. If your parents were born after 31 December 1982,
we may ask for extra documents relating to your parents
or grandparents.

I m on ILR my wife is in india. I m going to claim my british nationality in March 2013.

Does it mean I submit my original pass, brp, along with my daughter's original birth certi and her certificate of registration.
As well I will sign the sec 9 of the form as I will be instead of my daughter.
IN sec 10 if I get my colleague who works with me and is british to sign along with verifying my daughter's picture, will it be fine.
