Regarding maintenence fund of T2G dependant , there is ambiguity among different links at UKBA website
following link tells , it need £1600 per dependant of Tier 2 applicants who have been in the UK for less than 12 months
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... ce-changes
Eligibility for tier 2 dependant at following link of UKBA website , says £533 required per dependant even main applicant is in the UK for less than 12 months
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... igibility/
so which one to follow?
However, policy guidance available at following link , does not say anything about tier 2 dependants where is main applicant is less than 12 months in the UK.

Both. You need to read again what is very clear.
Easier to follow Appendix E

Then seek professional advice if you place any value on these applications being approved.

You don`t seem to be able to read so help here (in a written form) is not much use. That`s why I suggest seeking professional help.

Family member of a Tier 2 Migrant
48. The family member of the Tier 2 Migrant must have £533 to support himself/herself.
also
A sufficient level of funds must be available to an applicant applying as the Partner or Child of a Relevant Points Based System Migrant. A sufficient level of funds will only be available if the requirements below are met.
(a) Where the application is connected to a Tier 1 Migrant (other than a Tier 1 (Investor) Migrant) or a Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) Migrant who is outside the UK or who has been in the UK for a period of less than 12 months, there must be £1600 in funds.
(b) Where:
(i) paragraph (a) does not apply, and
(ii) the application is connected to a Relevant Points Based System Migrant who is not a Tier 1 (Investor) Migrant a Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) Migrant or a Tier 4 (General) Student there must be £533 in funds.

Hi Khurram545
This topic has already been discussed in another post:
http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=98244
to which you yourself contributed.
I reckon what is on the UKBA website is wrong. The ministerial statement laid before Parliament on 15/03/2012 said:
Dependants of Tier 1, 2 and 5 Migrants. New level of funds:
£1,800 for dependants of Tier 1 Migrants who have been in the UK for less than 12 months;
£600 for all other applicants
If you are worried put the question to the UKBA Immigration Enquiry Bureau (0870 606 7766) and share with us what they say.

what about following contents from link
http://foiwiki.com/foiwiki/index.php/UK ... mail_reply
If dependants are applying at the same time or separately, you will need to show additional savings of £533 for each dependant.
If the main applicant is outside the UK, or has been present in the UK for less than 12 months, each dependant must show that they (or the main applicant) have
at least £1,600 to support themselves.

The rules are not changing until 6 April and the changes in the maintenance won't apply until June so even if the maintenance requirement was changing to £1600 which i do not believe is the case it would not apply to you if you are applying on Monday.

T2G of less than 12 month needs £1600.

What about if I go for letter from my A-rated sponsor. I have also this but the only problem, while applying for sponsorship they selected No for maintenence support . however , as per UKBA advice , they added note with my name and my visa also approved against letter but note has only my name and there is no info about my family.. I afraid visa officer will not accept it.

I have almost decided to go for bank statement with £533 each , it will be gamble of £2000 (visa fee of 4 ppl) and as a result either my family will come and join me OR I will pack up here and go back to home land. because neither I don't not have enough money ( £1600 per person ) to save for next 3 months and reapply nor I can not keep my children away for 1 year.

I had call them today , the lady told me that it need to show £533 per dependant , and if main applicant is less than 12 months in the UK or applying outside the UK then need to show £800 more for his/her own maintenance fund
I wish this info is 100% correct.

HI,
Don't worry its 533 pounds for each dependant and 800 for yourself if in tier 2 category less than 12 months in UK. It is different for tier 1 category.
