180 Days Rule for ILR

Post by JummanGee » Sat Mar 24, 2012 5:55 pm

Hi,

Can some one kindly advise me on 180 days rule for ILR?

I have spend 204 days already outside the UK and among 204 days, I have spend 13, 48 and 28 on each business trips. Rest were paid leaves. In comming days I may need to spend another 30 days outside the UK on business trips. As I have already crossed the 180 days, can someone please advise if UKBA may disregard all business trips ?

Thanks,
Jumman

Hi Jumman,

As long as you can prove your business trip was essential and get supporting documents from your employer, it should be fine

Thanks,

Jafar

Thanks Jaffar,

I have created a draft below, to get confirmation from employer on my business visits outside UK. Is this OK and do I need to cover any thing else on this letter?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To:
UK Border Agency
Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
United Kingdom

[Date]

This letter is to confirm that [Name] travelled outside UK on following dates while working for [Company Name] as a [Designation] in [Location], UK for the purpose of attending necessary product training, team meeting and interaction with customers:

---------- ---------------- ---------------------
1.
2.
3.

[Name] is a key member of our team, based in [Location] to provide services to our customers in Europe. Please feel free to contact in case you need further information.

Jumman,

All these queries have been already discussed here. Please see the link below. I took this from the sticky section

As long as you were paid in UK and you paid tax and NI in UK, this letter below is fine

If in any doubt please ask seniors and other experts
