Ancestral Visa - Dependant and Timing of Travel

Post by Ancestor » Sun Mar 25, 2012 2:51 pm

I just want to clarify and confirm that no since ammendments have taken place I am not aware of, that as my wife and I are awaiting the issue of our UK Ancestral Visas, me as principal applicant and her as dependant.

As plans seem to be working she may not be able to travel initially with me end June/July over to the UK when our Visas are effective from and would in all likelihood only be coming over on her Visa in August, and as previously understood and read from this forum and UKBA, that as her as a dependant, this would not be a problem with the 5 years continuous period in the UK in order to eventually apply for ILR at the end thereof for both of us. It is only essential for me as the principal applicant to be there within 28 days and be employed or looking for the 5 continuous years.

Much appreciated.

Post by Ancestor » Tue Apr 24, 2012 8:31 pm

Hi All

I have just today been granted/issued my Ancestral Visa along with my wife as a dependant and ask if a learned colleague could confirm/advise on my above post to which as yet have not had any replies/advices.

Thanking you.
