Well, I did not make it clear it seems. My son born in UK ( Indian passport holder), can he travel to India and apply for T1G dependant visa over in India to come back to UK or does he has to have his T1G dependant visa before he travels to India.

What i know is, your new born son can travel to India without visa (if you have any other document to prove he is indian natioal i.e. your son's indian national idently card etc) but will not be able to return to UK without a valid UK visa.

as far as i know visa is not required for UK born with indian passport to leave the UK... But when he comes back in the country he needs to have UK visa.

Why you making your life difficult.. Stay here get her visa and all medical checkup done and then send him to India.

I am expecting Twins in July... will wait till March 2013 which is my visa expiry date... Will renew my visa and get one for my kidds in March and then i will take them to India.

Benifits:
1. Won't have to pay for visa till March 2013.
2. They will get nice medical treatment... Free of cost.

He can travel to India and get his dependant visa done there. I did the same for my daughter and it was no problem at all.

But i presume, its easier and probably quicker to get your son on dependant visa rather travelling to India and then submitting aplication there!

Rax, his son can travel to India without a visa as he is an Indian. He cannot travel back to UK as he would need visa for UK. OP can apply for his son's visa while staying in India & pay additional fee as current fee from UK is £500 whereas the fee from outside is around £800.
