Foreign student prenancy in uk

Post by Candy89 » Mon Mar 26, 2012 7:24 pm

Hi. I m foreign student  who s study in uk at the moment. My visa expires at the April 2013. I have 1 last year of my degree to go but I cjust found that I got pregnancy now. I hope I can finish my degree before the baby due date. My boyfriend is a British citizen. We r both young so we haven't want to married yet. I heard that my baby will get the british nationality following my boyfriend. More over, I can get the visa to stay in uk with my baby even my study is finish. Is it true?Is it a kind of asylum? What s the centre can help for my case? I prefer a free advice centre because I m student then I don't have that much money to go to private place. Pls advice me as soon as possible. Thanks.

Vinny mentioned a link which is beneficial for you.

The main condition is that your unmarried partner currently living and settled in UK.

1. you are both at least 18 years old;
2. Any previous marriage;
3. You are not related by blood;
4. You have been living together in a relationship akin to marriage which has been existing and genuine (not like a 'marriage of convenience') for at least 2 years;, you must see this, it is important
5. You both plan to live together permanently;
6. You meet our English language requirement, unless exemption;
7. You can support yourselves and any dependants without help from public funds; and
8. You have adequate accommodation without needing public funds.

You can switch into unmarried partners category if you are currently in the UK with permission as the unmarried partner.

Application form Required FLR (M).

As per law, you must apply before your current permission to stay expires. UKBA encourage you to apply 28 days before the expiry date, but you can choose to apply earlier than this.

Usually Citizen Advice Bureau & Law centre help you free of cost.
After taking Advice; remember Everyone's application, and thus supporting documents, will be different depending on personal circumstances.
