Immigration for my parents

Post by farrukh » Mon Mar 26, 2012 8:08 pm

hello All

I got indefinite leave to remain in UK last year. i just want to know that if I want my parents to come and live with me in UK, what is the procedure. My parents are in Pakistan and at the moment they living on their own. They got 5 year UK visit visa but they cant stay in the UK for more than 6 months and its not easy for them to travel that often.

Please let me know what is the process of getting my parents indefinite leave to remain in the UK.

I hope as always that some one is going to point me in the right direction.

Thank you very much.

My father is over 65 and mother is less than 65. My father is retired, but my mom works part time. I also send them money every now and than. I do transfer the money by bank but some times I also take money with me when I visit them. So, I got proof of the money transfer but only that I sent via bank.

Just because you send them money (every now and then in your words) does not make them eligible. They seem to have their own income. Nothing in what you have stated allows any notion of their eligibility and you need to be very careful of taking advice from forums based on scant information submitted for discussion. You need to take proper professional advice on their situation and circumstances as an inappropriate application that is refused will also kill off any chance of them getting further visit visas.
