Question about fiancee visa

Post by be_jova » Mon Mar 26, 2012 8:19 pm

I am applying for fiancee visa in April, and i expect to receive my visa in May,however i have some questions about it and i could not find the answer...

First of all, shortly after i arrive in the UK me and my future wife are planning to spend almost 3 months on a holiday abroad,so I am not sure if I am allowed to leave UK for that long while I have fiancee visa, would they maybe refuse entry on the way back to UK??? Is there any rule saying if i can or not leave the country and come back while on fiancee visa?

And my other concern is what happens to my application for spouse visa after i get married in UK,because of the new income threshold of 25,700 that they will implement in June?
How can my sponsors current income of 17,000 change in few months time to 25,700??? It is ridiculous...
Or maybe anyone who applies before the new rules is not affected by them, that would be sensible....

Thanks in advance

Consider marrying and switching, as soon as possible, prior to holiday.

Thank you very much,i see that going abroad for a holiday should not be a problem but do you really think they would refuse me after new rules come into play?

But we will try to get married before the holiday, i just hope we gonna have enough time to give notice because i see that can take up to 20 days after i arrive in UK.... hmmm

They may have more difficult rules soon. Don't forget that you should switch immediately after marriage, prior to travelling outside UK. Perhaps simplest to have honeymoon in the UK.

Are you saying that we can not go to holiday before the marriage, because that was the plan, then we come back, have our wedding, immediately switch my visa and then yes have our honeymoon in UK?

You may go on holiday prior to marriage. However, it's uncertain if and when the rules for FLR(M) may change.
