Entry allowed for pregnant woman coming on dependent visa?

Post by PatelKD » Tue Mar 27, 2012 4:23 am

I am coming to UK on Tier 2 (Long Term - Intra Company Transfer) Visa.
My wife plans to come along with me on dependent visa and she is pregnant.

My worry is that weather she be allowed to enter the UK at the airport?

I have searched a lot on UKBA website regarding rules for allowing/not-allowing entry to pregnant woman (who is coming as dependent and NOT as a visitor) but could not find anything.

Thanks

I am not sure why you think your wife would be refused entry to the UK when she has a valid dependent visa due to her pregnancy. You can't find anything about this because there is no issue. The only problem she may have is being allowed to board the plane by the airline if she is heavily pregnant and doesn't have a doctors note saying she is fit to fly.

Additionally, you can check from the airline as well, usually there is no problem till 29 weeks, but after this time, you need to fill a form signed by her lady doctor/G.P.
After taking Advice; remember Everyone's application, and thus supporting documents, will be different depending on personal circumstances.

Indeed its the airlines who have restrictions on passengers who may require medical help during the flight. The border agencies do not care about this however.
