settlement or citizenship..?

Post by winnie69 » Tue Mar 27, 2012 10:17 pm

been working on an employer sponsored visa since 2003. as my visa expires soon, they recommended applying for settlement.

1. do i go for settlement..or can i bypass settlement and go straight for citizenship?
2. according to the website, it will cost £850 for personal appearance.... i've read an article about an asylum seeker, who didn't have to pay for the settlement. does length of time here reduce or remove the cost..?

Settlement is required prior to citizenship.
