Post by suzuki1985 » Wed Mar 28, 2012 1:04 am

Hello,

We live in Germany now with my eu spouse, i got eea residence permit, in my visa it is written visa eea fp; family member to acc xxxxxx. She is already in Germany with me, we decided that my eu spouse will go to UK firstly, then after could i go to uk without her. But when i arrived border, she would be already in uk.

I believe the question is whether the OP can travel to join his EEA spouse in the UK albeit his Family Permit stating he will accompanying her.

You should be fine but it would be wise to carry some proof of your wife presence in the UK (proof of her travel if it is just a few days before you or some proof of residence if she is there for a longer time).

There should be no problem, mate. Just get a flight and everything should be ok.

I've never done this, so don't know for sure. You may be in for a harder time at the border than if you were together or if you were joining spouse. Suggest you are prepared for that eventuality.

Sorry I completely misread what you were intending to do. There is no issue whatsoever with what you intend to do.

Should have added, her being at the airport would help in the event that there are any questions (hopefully there won't be). Once again, sorry for earlier confusion.

It was my fault for not reading your initial post properly. In any case you will be fine. I recommend that you have your wife's contact number with you in case you need to contact her. Have a good journey.
