Tourist visa or Family visitor visa for my parents?

Post by rihan007 » Wed Mar 28, 2012 10:07 am

Hi friends,

I am planning to apply for tourist/family visa for my parents as I would like them to be in the UK during my wifes delivery. I would like them to stay here for
about 1.5 months.

I have couple of questions.

Is it easier to get tourist or family visitor visa?
I own my home here, with two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is 15' (4.57m) Max, x 9'8 (2.94m) and Bedroom 2 is 9'5 (2.87m) x 8'9 (2.66m). based on the housing act,would
my property be owercrowded if its me,my wife and my parents( four in total) ?
do i need a property inspection report for family visitor visa?
do i need a property inspection report for tourist visitor visa?
Can i get tourist visa by booking hotels and cancelling it after getting visa?

Tell me first your visa status in UK?
After taking Advice; remember Everyone's application, and thus supporting documents, will be different depending on personal circumstances.

      Family would be much better

my property be overcrowded if its me,my wife and my parents( four in total) ?

No it would not as you and your wife and child can share one room whilst your parents may use other.

do i need a property inspection report for family visitor visa?

No.just simply state how many rooms you have, their size and details of the people living in the house, along with photos of the house in the sponsorship letter you will need to send to your parents

do i need a property inspection report for tourist visitor visa?

No,as tourist visitors normally stay in hotels etc

Can i get tourist visa by booking hotels and cancelling it after getting visa?

Not a good idea.Apply for family visitors visa and you should be OK.
