Yes, if you can share what is best way forward. I do not think it will change much, but I am interested in knowing if the claim of 75% in 1 month is really true.QuickSam wrote:That's a good idea but the question is, are you ready to take the initiative?
I agree with chrischris. I believe with an e-petition, you will need 100,000 signatures just to force a discussion on the issue in parliament. On the other hand, an open letter, with the issues clearly laid out, might capture the attention of some MPs.chrischris wrote:I don't know if writing an open letter to the MP in charge of UKBA is an alternative to doing an e-petition.
Something just occurred to me, is it possible to have a sticky topic with processing time lines for people whose applications have been with UKBA for at least 3 months? at least if we can gather the data it is possible that we find a common theme and help others in future prepare for the long wait.

Again, agreed. It is about SLA rather than fee increases.chrischris wrote:sams1enigma wrote:We could just start by signingScopeD wrote:I agree with chrischris. I think these are two separate issues. Even if the fees petition is successful, we are still faced with this level of service - which is not the best.
and if the fees petition is not successful, we are going to have to pay more for the same crap service.
I wouldn't worry too much about SLA. I am really concerned about the lack of information during the whole process. As already said, I would want to see an application tracking mechanism in place that gives applicants peace of mind.ScopeD wrote: Again, agreed. It is about SLA rather than fee increases.
