Thanks for the firm reply.Jambo wrote:If he was born in the UK, then you can apply for registration as a BC using form MN1.
There is no requirement for the child to have a passport when applying.
Passport is travel document NOT nationality document. Your child still has same nationality as yours at present. Although if child already has passport, you must send with application otherwise no need.hpat wrote:There is one question in the MN1 form asking the nationality for the child.
If I don't take child's indian passport then child will not have any nationality and guide for MN1 reads
"Enter the child's present nationality. If an application is being made on the basis that
the child is stateless (i.e. he or she does not have the nationality of any country), an
application should be made on form S2 or S3."
Not sure if indian passport is required for the child?
Have anyone come across this situation?
Any help would be appriciated..
The child will not have a valid visa. However, when applying for BC for a UK born child, there is no need to have a valid visa. If the child will travel after your ILR, better to include him in your ILR so he can re-enter the UK.apsaps wrote: In this case what visa status will child have ?
