Early Tier1 Extension ahead of six months.

Post by PalemReddy » Mon Apr 02, 2012 11:33 am

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for an early tier1 extension by postal, let put my situation in brief,

HSMP visa from – 28th Nov 2007

Came to Uk - 12th Jan 2008 - hsmp

1st extension - November 2009

Current Visa - valid till 25th November 2012.

ILR Eligible from 17th Dec 2012

I am planning to change my job, and am currently facing difficulty as employers are expecting more duration on my visa.

Question : If I state the above reason and apply for early extension, will the home office accept for it and stamp me for 2 more years

I am also thinking to show maintenance funds in Indian currency, where I have a fixed deposit amount worth 10K £ for the past five years.

Question : Will home office accept overseas funds for maintenance funds .

Question :Also the early extension will have any impact on my ILR application which I will make it some time in December 2012.

Regards,
Palem

Hi,

If you are applying early the only thing would be is that it would reset your existing visa and your new visa would start from the day it is approved. however, as your ILR is due in December you should be fine.

I am not sure about the maintenance funds from overseas.
