Post by aliq09 » Mon Apr 02, 2012 3:01 pm

HI ,

Get all the docs for my extemsion on Thu , just need to confirm a small thing in pay slip / bank account slary transfer ( personal account)

For April 2011 salary , i transfered the amount 753 to my personal account which actaully differ from the payslip generated by my accountant ( amount 763) . He has explained this fact in accountant letter while mentioning that this amount 753 has been transfered by me which actually differ from pay slip amount 763 and has been account for in Director accounts . Is this wording correct or need more information from him , rest 11 months slips are good and matched . P60 generated and paid so cant rubbish my pay slip as per accountant.

Kindly can some one help me urgently as i am running out of time thanks in adavance
Thanks

Ali

Are your payslips in company generated payslip format or just A4 prints? Ask your accountant if he could get the salary part on the payslip corrected. If he can't get this fixed, explanation by the accountant and you (on a cover letter) should be good enough.

I don't understand the wording "account for in Director accounts" as my accounting english is week. Might be worth checking with the accountants on this forum.

Hi ,

Thanks for the reply . It can't be changed as P60 has been filed and paid so my accountant has send me an explanation letter and additionally i will put a cover letter with explanation.
Thanks

Don't wish to complicate any further here but is the P60 you are mentioning for the 2010-11 tax year or the current one?

It may be worth double checking with your accountant then as you can't actually file P60s for 2011-12 yet as the end of the tax year isn't until tomorrow (5th).

As a control, HMRC won't let you attempt to file online as of today (4th) and you can no longer file on paper unless you fall into a very narrow set of criteria.

It may mean no change as to what you do but I thought it best to let you know just in case.

... to be honest employers have until May 31st to do this (it's May 19th for filing the P14/P35 with HMRC as I should have mentioned above but they get until May 31st to send P60s to their employees).

Fair play to your accountant if s/he has somehow managed to file the P14/P35 for you already; it may just have made a difference to your thinking that's all.

All the best with your application.
