Referees - friend ??

Can I use friend as my referees when applying for naturalisation ?
(one is company director, the other one is finanical assistant, both have british passport and over 25)

My sincere apologies I got confused here, it is not your solicitor or agent representing you with your application or someone employed by the the Home Office. You got the right referee there no problem fella
