Tier 2 To Tier 1 dependant

Post by sanyamkaushik » Wed Apr 04, 2012 10:06 am

Hi Folks,

A friend of mine currently has Tier 2 Visa. (PS: Not Tier 2 dependant but main Tier 2).

Now, to apply for Tier 1 dependant, can the application be filed within UK or one has to go back to home country to file the application.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately, the person has already sent the application to Home Office and the fees has been deducted.
What do you suggest:
1. Should he call the documents back?
2. Just wait, in case....?

either way the applicant will lose the fee - it won't be granted and fees are not refunded if the application is withdrawn. Perhaps they should have sought advice before applying.

I guess you won't get the fee back now so just let it be. In case of rejection or withdrawal, the documents should return within 20 days.

I would have taken the 2nd option.
