Applying Before 43 Days of Expiring Tier 1 ( General )

Post by saqib389 » Wed Apr 04, 2012 11:15 am

Hi All,

Would be appreciated if anyone can give their valuable opinion in regards to following question.

I have booked an Appointment for 3rd May 2012 for Tier 1 General Extension in Croydon With Dependent and My Visa Expiry Date is 17TH June 2012.

I would like to know from anyone experience that going to window in Croydon before 43 days of Visa Expiry would be an issue for ILR(Indefinite Leave to Remain) ?

Any thoughts/ideas would be welcome.

Many Thanks

Applying early is not a problem. However, depending on how soon you entered UK after getting EC will determine whether or not your early extension impact your ILR case.

This situation is always difficult to address. I guess you can apply for ILR 28 days (i.e into last month of your 5 year tenure as T1/T2 or combined) prior to your completion of 5 years. If you have entered the UK after (upto) 3 months of gaining EC, CW has 3 months discretion he/she can use to cover your shortfall.
