hi ,i have a question and i was looking on internet and i couldnt find a answer then i decide to register here and maybe you guys can help me?

So my question is this:
I am a british citizen and my wife is turkish and she has indefinite visa (she can work and live in UK) .We decided to go to austria for and live. I don`t have any problem for work in Austria but I am not sure about my wife ?

does she need a visa and work permit? if yes what should i do?
how long can she stay in Austria without any documentation?

Generally, she would need a visa to enter another EU country. As you are British, it should be issued quickly and for free. Once there, she generally needs to apply for a residence card within three months of arrival. No work permit is required.

Thank you fast responding for my questions. As I understood ; If she wanted to work and stay in Austria she need a work permit in 3 months..
Will it be hard to get work permit?
If she want to stay in austria longer with work permit ,she will lose her work permit and right to live in UK.

Is this mean she also lose her work permit in Austria.?

If she had her work permit in austria, Will it be for life or certain time?

Firstly, like I said before, there is no work permit. There is a residence card and that can be used to demonstrate a right to work. It is not permanent. Permanent residence can be built up over time.

Why don't you start reviewing EU website for some basic initial information?
