Visa stamp on old passport

Post by aravindb4u » Thu Apr 05, 2012 9:26 am

Hi guys,

I got my Tier 1 General in Sep 2009 which expires in Sep 2012.

My passport expired in Aug 2011 which I have renewed and got new passport.

Do I need to transfer my visa to the new passport before applying for Tier 1 General extension? Is that mandatory?

Or can I just send my both passports to UKBA mentioning this in the covering letter.

Thanks guys.

You do not need to transfer the visa over to your new passport. With your extension there will be BRP

Yes, you do need to fill separate application form for each of your dependent.

So in the application form, section C6

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... l-form.pdf

Which passport should i enter first?

my current? or my old which has the stamp?

beacuse it says,

C6. Please give details of the applicant’s current passport or travel document and any others
that he/she has used to travel to and remain in the United Kingdom and which shows his/her
current leave. Please note that for the application to be valid and complete the applicant’s
current passport/travel document must be provided unless it is not available for one of the
reasons specified on the application form.

It says "current passport" and which has "current leave" ..so bit confusing..which one to enter first

Thanks
