schengen visa applying through French embassy

Hi,
I am applying for Schengen visa for Me and my Wife.
I am holding a tier-1 general visa and my wife is holding a dependent visa.

I have following query about hotel reservation:

I am travelling through a travel agency. Agency can provide the complete itinerary of my travel, in wich it is mentioned about the details of all the hotels where I am going to stay but not from the actual hotel. Is it mandatory that the hotel booking confirmation must be issued by the actual hotel ?

Please help.

A hotel or flight confirmation is not a mandatory requirement when applying for a Schengen visa.

If you're traveling through an agency, why don't you ask them to help provide the information?

Hi,

If you are travelling through the travel agency,
You can submit the itinerary of your complete trip while it will be treated as a substitute.
Make sure there is a confirmation about your trip and the relevant documents from agency to confirm your bookings for the trip with them in your name only stating the details of the trip.
