Student then PSW to ILR - Eligible ??

Post by DEMO » Thu Apr 05, 2012 10:51 am

Hi,

I've been living to the UK around 5 years...I got entry in the uk as student visa in july - 2007 then finished my MSC degree in 2010 then applied for PSW. I've recently finished contract with company, was working more than 16 months with them now I'm looking or new job and who can sponsor me for tier 2 visa.

is there any way I can apply for ILR as been to UkK around 5 years.

Can I switch my PSW (tier 1) visa to ILR. Possible ??

Help Please....

Cheers,
Harry

If you switch into a relevant work category, you would then need to make five years on that new status to become eligible for ILR. Otherwise you can apply for ILR after 10 years in an aggregation of any immigration categories.

Thanks for your prompt response..

so you mean at the moment looking at my situation. I'll not be eligible to apply for ILR. I have to have one visa category (e.g tier 1) then staying on it around 5 years can eligible for ILR. is that right ???
