Kindly help me on my child visa

HI,
Can anyone help me with this Issue.
I was blessed with a baby boy in Dec.
Now i got him an indian passport , but my visa is going to expire in june 2012.
Should I get him a visa but my son and wife will be not coming back.
Is it important for my kid to have a visa when leaving uk.

No when leaving UK but Yes when coming back
