Hello,
My tier4 general student visa extension appeal was rejected due to the absence of birth certificate.
I appealed to the immigration court and after the hearing of the appeal, the court granted the extension on humanitarian grounds section 8, on the 18th of October 2011.
Till date I have not received any communication or the biometric residency permit card from ukba.
I called the enquiry number and someone adviced that I will just have to wait till contacted by the UKBA.
I couldn't go home during my last term break due to this situation although there were some urgent matters back home.
1. Can anyone kindly advice me how and where to contact to get the biometric residency permit at the earliest or know the status of my application?
Now the college which has issued me the CAS number for the visa extension has severed the ties with the University and it is rumoured that they may file bankruptcy also. I have registered with the University directly now as per the university's decision to help the students and paid for the registration into the University account through their Bank.
I have paid the whole course fees earlier itself to the college and the University also acknowledges that payment.
I have permission to remain till 31 august 2012 as per the immigration court's decision which will be sufficient for completing the current term which may end in june/july 2012.
2. what should I do now to get the student visa to continue the course at the University directly?
3. Will I have to apply for a switch of sponsor myself or is it to be done by the university?
So many issues are to be dealt with immediately and I request your kind help.
Thank you.
