Visa extension and ILR question??

Post by zebra3 » Mon Jan 04, 2010 9:08 pm

I have a question below from my brother. thanks for your help

I have dual nationalities (British+Eu French), and my spouse is on a 2 year visa which will expire on May 2010.
My partner delayed the entry to UK by 5 months, Visa issued May 08 and she came to the UK Oct 08, so to apply for ILR I need to get and extension visa for £465.00 then ILR for £820.00, but if got via the EU route to get a 5year visa if FREE???
Can anyone help and advice????
Thanks

yes you're correct. The eu route is free but takes a lot longer allthough turn around times have been much quicker lately.
I tell it like it is.

I think he needs another kind of form as the one you suggested is to fill from outside the UK, and my brothers wife is already here in the UK with my brother and they just had a baby boy
