Hi All,
My spouse will be eligible to apply for ILR this December 2023 and our child and myself are currently on Skilled Worker dependent visa expiring on Dec'23. We will be eligible for ILR only in Jan 2025. Appreciate if you could tell me what type of visa should we apply when the primary holder applies for an ILR? Thanks

The fact that primary visa holder applied for ILR means nothing for you.
When she will get ILR, you will be able to apply for a dependent visa once again (and get a 3 year extension).
Not sure what's the best way to handle it - other members will contribute.

No effect on your visas. They remain valid until expiry as normal. You need to apply to extend before your visa expiry date, under 'skilled worker dependant' visa

You do not need to use any references. UKVI has all your data

Instead of applying for 3 years visa extension, is there any option to apply for just 2 years visa extension as we will be eligible for ILR after 2 years? Thanks

No you can't apply for 2 years. The immigration rules state that it is a 3 year extension for PBS dependents if the main PBS visa holder has obtained ilr. There is no discretion to apply for a lesser duration as the caseworkers must follow the immigration rules.
