Visa granted but no passport

Post by Vicki0211 » Mon Apr 29, 2019 4:13 pm

Hello all,

After applying for a second time, my husbands visa has been granted based on exceptional circumstances (we are expecting our first child in August). He has 30 months on the 10 year route.

The documents have been returned including my passport and the BRP card was delivered today.

However, his ID card and his passport were not included. Is this normal? What should we do?

He is so happy to have received the visa but disheartened not to be able to now travel immediately to see his family in Albania who he hasn’t seen for 10 years.

Any help advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Vicki

Presently many members reporting same experience which seems very strange.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Ask your husband to contact local reporting centre where I assume he was reporting before he was granted visa.
Tell them that his passport is in document bank in home office and they should be able to arrange collection within 24 hour.
The reason his passport wasn’t returned by case worker was that it was never with other documents.

Thank you, however He wasn’t reporting anywhere.

We submitted an initial application last year that was rejected in Feb. Then we submitted a new application immediately.

How can I find out where it is / who should I contact?

Even if he wasn’t reporting I believe they will be able to help.
Retained documents are always put in a secure place in home office to facilitate removal late if need to.
Enforcement people on reporting centre have direct access and request receive documents from document bank almost everyday.
I had same problem and I phoned the reporting centre and they had my passport ready for collection the next day and even phoned me that it’s ready

Thank you! I don’t know our local reporting centre so I’ll have to google it.

Typically the home office have misspelt his date of birth on his BRP so now we are trying to sort that too!!
