Visa Spouse will expire Nov 2019

Hello all,
My wife arrived in the UK on March 2017. We will be applying for her spouse extension or She can apply for settlement (indefinite leave to remain which comes up on Nov 2019.
We have 1 child who was born in the UK, so I understand I need to show an income of £23,000 (rounding up).

Extend, after 30 months from initial UK entry and before expiry of leave.

If child is automatically British, then there is no extra financial burden for child.

Minimum A2 English language requirement.
