Wait time for ICT dependent to Skilled worker switch

Hi,
I have made an application to switch my wife's visa from ICT dependent to Skilled worker. My current Visa has expired and we are waiting very anxiously for the decision. The website says it will take a maximum of 8 weeks. i want to know if there is a way to speed up and reduce the wait time for the decision.

If you applied using standard service, you have to wait. There is no way to speed it up.

If your visa has expired, what application have you made to remain legal in the UK?
