This topic is related to if I should keep updating my police registration certificate after I got an EU settlement scheme as an EEA family member.
The case: I came to the UK in 2013 on a student visa and was required to register with the police. I kept updating my police registration certificate about any changes.
Fast forward to 2019, I got my EU settlement scheme pre-settle residence card status (BRC not BRP) as an EEA family member.
What I did so far to try to find an answer: I emailed the home office on the public enquiry email to ask if I still need to update my police certificate because the police registration website (LINKS ARE BELOW) explains that EEA family members do not need to register but it does not explain if people who have registered with the police in the past and who later became EEA family members under the EU settlement scheme if they should continue updating their previous police registration certificate.
The public inquiry home office email address replied to me after around a month and half-ish advising me that I can contact UKVI directly

I emailed the EU settlement scheme resolution centre to try to get a (written answer) but they said they could not completley advise on this matter. They only mentioned that as an EU settlement scheme holder, I do not need to register with the police. They also advised me to contact UKVI (AGAIN). So I did.
I called UKVI again and they advised me the same thing that I do not need to update my police certificate (based on the police regsitration PDF guidance file in the link below). I insisted to get a written answer but they advised that I can send a letter to the home office (not sure if I am complicating things).
I even tweeted on twitter to the Gov.UK and Home office asking the same question but I did not see an answer.
I found a similar topic on this forum (link is below) but, I wanted an answer for my specific case only. I do not think I should rely on a home office answer sent to another person as each case might be different or slightly different:

Question: Can you please advise? anyone who is expert in these matters? I am very tired of trying to chase the home office for a small written answer. Its really stressing me. Thank you.
