Working for a new employer while waiting to switch to FLR(fp)

My wife is currently on a tier 2 general visa which is valid till Feb 2024. Our children and I are all British citizens.

She has resigned from her current job and is serving notice till the 22nd of July. She has also just applied for a spouse visa (FLR FP) from within the UK. Looking at current timelines, she will probably be waiting for the next 11 months or so to get that approved. Can she start working for a different employer while she is waiting for it to be approved? Does section 3C secure her right to work? And can it be with a different employer than the one that originally sponsored her tier 2 visa?

No she cannot.

It extends her current visa conditions if her visa expires while waiting. It doesn't give her the right to work for any employer as it is her tier 2 General Co ditions that continue

No.

Why has she applied flr fp and not flr m?

I got it wrong. She has applied for a 'Family Route' visa application under the partner/spouse category. So I presume it is FLR(M). Although I guess that still does not let her to work for a new employer, I presume?

Her tier 2 visa conditions continue while she waits and she can only work for her tier 2 sponsor
