Working in the UK - can I apply for a holiday visa while waiting for my BRP?

Hi, I am working in the UK on a tier 2 visa and my current job is ending this August. I have applied for my BRP for my next job starting in August and was wondering if I can apply for a visa to visit Europe for a holiday in July while I am waiting for my BRP to come (as I have my passport and current BRP with me), or if I need to wait for it before I can apply?

I assume you mean you applied for a change of employer Tier 2 VISA?? When did you apply??

My current BRP expires on 21st August 2019, my new job is due to start from 7th August and I applied for the change of employer tier 2 visa this Monday, the 3rd of June.

For a Schengen visa, you need a UK visa valid for at least 3 months, sometimes 6 months. You will fail this requirement.

It can take up to 15 working days, sometimes a bit longer in busy periods like summer.
