Working on Tier 2 ICT dependant to Tier 2 general in same company

Hi

I am currently working on tier 2 ICT dependant visa and my company is looking for options to sponsor me Tier 2 general. My question is

1. Should I resign my current job so as to switch to Tier to general though it’s the same company as I can only process tier 2 general from India?

Please advise
